Avenged Sevenfold (abreviado como A7X), es una banda estadounidense de heavy metal formada por el baterista Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan en 1999 en Huntington Beach, California, Estados Unidos. Avenged Sevenfold es conocido por la versatilidad de sus estilos musicales y por su destacado logotipo: Deathbat.
Sus integrantes son M. Shadows (vocalista), Zacky Vengeance (guitarrista y coros), Synyster Gates (guitarrista líder), Johnny Christ (bajista). Anteriormente, el batería y vocalista era The Rev hasta su temprana muerte en diciembre de 2009. Mike Portnoy entró para ayudar a la banda en sus conciertos incluyendo la gira “Nightmare After Christmas” durante el 2010 y salió de la banda el 16 de diciembre de ese mismo año al terminar la gira.
