Iron Maiden

Iron Maiden es una banda británica de heavy metal fundada en 1975 por el bajista Steve Harris. Tras varias audiciones y varios cambios en su formación, ésta se asentó con el vocalista Paul Di'Anno, los guitarristas Dave Murray y Dennis Stratton y el batería Clive Burr. Publicaron su álbum debut homónimo en 1980, convirtiéndose rápidamente en uno de los grupos más representativos de la nueva ola del heavy metal británico. Más tarde ese mismo año, Stratton fue reemplazado por el guitarrista Adrian Smith, con el que publicaron el exitoso y consistente Killers (1981), el cantante Bruce Dickinson reemplazaba a Di'Anno, marcando el inicio de una serie de lanzamientos de impacto, entrando en lo más alto (el Top 10) de las listas de los más vendidos.

Fear of the Dark


"Fear of the Dark (live)" es un sencillo en directo de la banda de heavy metal Iron Maiden, publicado el 1 de marzo de 1993, la canción fue escrita por Steve Harris. Se dice que la canción se refiere al miedo infantil de Harris (Temor a la oscuridad o miedo a la oscuridad).

Es el vigesimoquinto sencillo por la banda. Esta versión en directo (así como la versión "Hallowed Be Thy Name") son las canciones para promocionar el álbum en directo A Real Live Dead One. El sencillo alcanzó el número cinco en las listas de Reino Unido y desde entonces se ha convertido en una de las canciones favoritas de los fans y en una must-play de los conciertos. La versión en directo de "Hooks in You" (lado B de este sencillo) fue grabada en el Wembley Arena, en Londres, el 17 de diciembre de 1990. También fue la única canción fuera de los discos de los ochentas que fue incluida en la monumental gira Somewhere Back In Time World Tour.
