Paradise City


Paradise City es una de las canciones más famosas escritas por la banda de hard rock Guns N' Roses.
Está incluida en el álbum de 1987 Appetite for Destruction. Junto con «Welcome to the Jungle» y «Sweet Child O' Mine», es uno de los temas más influyentes de Guns N' Roses en el mundo de la música. La famosa estrofa "Take me down to the paradise city where the grass is green and the girls are pretty" (Llevame a la ciudad paraíso donde el pasto es verde y las chicas son lindas") se cree que podría ser una referencia a la marihuana o al LSD, ya que reordenando las letras de "Paradise City" sería "Easy Acid Trip". Paradise City es considerado por algunos como una canción que trata de Los Ángeles y su corrupción por la época. Algunos creen que la canción fue escrita en Louisville, KY la cual está a cuatro horas al sur en donde Axl Rose creció en Indiana.

Guns N' Roses es una banda estadounidense de hard rock que se formó en Hollywood, Los Ángeles, California en 1985. El grupo, encabezado por el líder y fundador de la banda Axl Rose, ha pasado por una línea de numerosos cambios y controversias desde su creación. La formación actual cuenta con el vocalista Axl Rose (como único miembro original del grupo), con los guitarristas Ron «Bumblefoot» Thal, DJ Ashba y Richard Fortus, el bajista Tommy Stinson, el baterísta Frank Ferrer y los teclistas Dizzy Reed y Chris Pitman. La banda ha publicado oficialmente seis álbumes de estudio, tres EP, un álbum en directo y un recopilatorio.
